Client-Centered Representation: Fostering a Relationship of
Attorney-Client Collaboration and Mutual Trust

The traditional, old-school model of representation is largely one of dictation and control, whereby the attorney would “dictate” to the client what he or she was to do at every given stage of the relationship.  The old way focuses on “controlling” the client, rather than “collaborating” with the client.  So, what is client-centered representation?  In short, attorneys who follow the client-centered model of representation bring the client’s other interests and concerns back into the picture so that the legal representation can be directed toward objectives that put the pursuit of legal interests into the context of the client’s other values, relationships, and concerns.  Our forward-thinking law firm follows the client-centered model of representation in everything that we do and every tool that we use.  The attorney-client relationship is largely viewed as a team working together to achieve the client’s objectives while making sure the client remains informed about the status of his or her case and has the information needed to make informed decisions.

How Our Firm Stands Apart from the Rest

Clio Case Management Platform

Our firm proudly uses the Clio case management platform as a means of internally managing our cases and collaborating with our clients and keeping them informed at every step in their case through Clio Connect.  Clio Connect is designed to give us the ability to provide our clients with a secure client portal through which they can access case-specific resources, such as documents, tasks, calendar events, and invoices, that have been shared with the client in addition to a secure messaging feature.  Clients can basically see everything that is in the attorney’s case file, making collaboration and informed decision-making a breeze.

Apptoto Appointment Reminder System

Our firm has partnered with Apptoto, the leader in automated appointment reminder systems to conveniently deliver appointment reminders to our clients by text message and email.  Our clients can easily confirm their upcoming appointment or indicate if they need to reschedule.  Apptoto even allows our clients to easily add an appointment to their calendar with just a few clicks of their mouse.  In short, Apptoto allows our clients to focus on their lives and the things that truly matter and not on having to keep track of upcoming appointments.

eSign Genie Electronic Signature Platform

We understand that our clients have busy lives that often make having to come into the office just to sign a piece of paper a major inconvenience.  That’s why we have partnered with eSign Genie, one of the industry leaders in providing an easy-to-use electronic signature solution.  Instead of making a trip to the office to sign an engagement agreement or release form, our clients receive any document needing a signature electronically by email.  The client may then review the document at their convenience and easily sign it using their computer keyboard or mouse or their finger on their smartphone.

Personal Communication with Your Attorney

Every client is given their attorney’s main office number, personal cell phone number, and personal email address to foster a relationship that is conducive to attorney-client communication. As long as your attorney is not in court, meeting with a client, or otherwise indisposed, your call, text message, or email will be answered.

Flexible Meeting Times

We understand that our clients have busy lives. That's why we strive to be as flexible as possible when it comes to scheduling appointments. Clients can meet with their attorney during the day, during the evening, on weekends, or on holidays.
