What is Controlled Paraphernalia?
Controlled paraphernalia is defined by Md. Code Criminal Law 5-620, which specifically lists certain items as controlled paraphernalia when used in connection with a controlled dangerous substance. Those items include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
- Measuring Spoon
- Glassine Envelope
- Gelatin Capsule
- Procaine Hydrochloride
What is the Maximum Penalty?
If found guilty of possessing controlled paraphernalia, then one is subject to up to four years of incarceration and/or up to a $25,000 fine.
